Electric Blue Cichlid

The Electric Blue Cichlid (Sciaenochromis fryeri), also known as the Electric Blue Hap, is a brilliantly coloured African cichlid, prized for its intense iridescent blue body and striking fin contrast.

Native to Lake Malawi, this species is a top choice for cichlid enthusiasts due to its bold appearance, active behaviour, and relatively peaceful nature compared to other Haps.

Unlike aggressive Mbuna cichlids, Electric Blue Cichlids are more relaxed but still semi-aggressive, making them ideal for cichlid community tanks with other similarly sized African cichlids.

They thrive in spacious aquariums with rocky structures and open swimming areas, where they can exhibit their natural predatory behavior.
