Native to slow-moving rivers and streams in South America, this peaceful species is a favorite among aquarists for its hardiness, adaptability, and vibrant colour.

Fire Ember Tetras thrive in planted aquariums, where their bright coloration contrasts beautifully against green aquatic plants.

They are highly social fish, best kept in schools of six or more, where they exhibit their natural schooling behaviour. Due to their small size and gentle nature, they are ideal for nano tanks and community aquariums with other peaceful species.
