Toni’s Pet Station Dog Grooming Terms and Conditions

These Grooming Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the grooming services provided by Toni’s Pet Station PTY LTD (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking a grooming appointment, you (“client,” “owner”) agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.


1. Appointments

  • Clients are encouraged to pre-book grooming appointments, as Toni’s Pet Station often books out weeks or even months in advance.

  • Regular grooming schedules (every 6-10 weeks) are encouraged for your pet’s comfort. If we have not groomed your pet in over 12 weeks, you may be charged a higher rate, and your file may revert to “New Client” status, subject to availability.

  • All full grooming sessions (clipping, washing, and baths) must last at least 2 hours.

  • Appointments on a Saturday or outside regular grooming hours will incur an additional fee.


2. Vaccination and Health Requirements

  • Prefer all pets to be up-to-date with their vaccinations.

  • Pets showing signs of illness (e.g., coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea) may be refused service to protect the health of other animals and staff.

  • Before the appointment, owners must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special care requirements.


3. Flea and Tick Policy

  • Pets with flea or tick infestations will incur additional cleaning charges or may be refused service.

  • If fleas or ticks are found during grooming, the pet will be treated at the owner’s expense.


4. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations or reschedules must be made 24 hours before the appointment.

  • Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours may be charged 50% of the booking fee.

  • “No-shows” will be charged the full grooming fee.

  • Clients with multiple cancellations or no-shows may be refused future services.


5. Grooming Rates and Timeframes

  • Grooming rates are based on your pet's breed, size, and condition. Final pricing will be confirmed at check-in.

  • Grooming timeframes are estimates and may vary based on the pet’s behaviour, coat condition, or other factors.


6. Special Grooming Conditions

  1. Matted Coats:

    • Pets with matted coats require extra care and attention. The coat must often be shaved to remove mats and ensure the pet’s comfort.

    • Additional charges may apply depending on the time and effort required.

    • Toni’s Pet Station is not responsible for any irritation, cuts, or skin conditions caused by removing severe mats.

  2. Senior or Medically Fragile Pets:

    • Grooming senior or medically fragile pets carries inherent risks. Owners must acknowledge and accept these risks before grooming.

  3. Aggressive or Anxious Pets:

    • Pets requiring muzzling or exhibiting aggressive behaviour may be charged higher rates.

    • Grooming sessions may be terminated if a pet poses a risk to staff or itself. Full grooming fees will still apply.


7. Accidents and Emergencies

  • While every effort is made to groom pets safely, accidents can occur. These may include minor nicks, scratches, or stress-related issues.

  • First aid will be administered in an emergency, and owners will be notified immediately.

  • Owners may be responsible for any veterinary costs incurred due to an accident during grooming.


8. Owner’s Responsibilities

  • Owners must disclose any behavioural issues or medical conditions before the appointment.

  • Owners are encouraged to remain off-site during grooming to minimise their pets' anxiety and stress. If necessary, staff will contact the owner for updates or assistance.

  • All pets must arrive on leads or in carriers for safety.


9. Refund and Satisfaction Policy

  • Refunds are not provided for completed grooming services.

  • If a client is dissatisfied with the grooming outcome, adjustments may be offered if reported within 24 hours of the appointment.


10. Use of Photos and Videos

  • Toni’s Pet Station reserves the right to take photos or videos of pets during grooming for promotional purposes. Clients may opt out by notifying staff before the appointment.


11. Liability Waiver

  • Toni’s Pet Station is not responsible for:

    • Stress-related illnesses or injuries occurring after the grooming session.

    • Pre-existing conditions that may worsen during grooming.

    • Loss or damage to personal items left with pets (e.g., collars, leads).


12. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these Grooming Terms and Conditions anytime. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
