Baby Guinea Pigs make incredible companions - social, gentle, and full of personality from the moment you meet them. At Toni's Pet Station, our Guinea Pigs are handled from birth, raised with care, and health checked before they're ready for their new families.

We regularly have short-haired and long-haired varieties available, including boys and girls. Whether you're looking for a single piggy or a bonded pair, we'll help you find the right match.

We don't just hand you a box and wave goodbye. Here's what's included with every Guinea Pig from Toni's Pet Station:

  • Health Checked: Eyes, coat, teeth and weight checked before they leave - every time.
  • Accurately Sexed: No surprises. We sex every Guinea Pig carefully so you know exactly what you're taking home.
  • Handled Daily: All our babies are handled from an early age. They're calm, used to people and ready to bond with their new family.
  • Care Advice: Our team will walk you through feeding, housing and what to expect in those first few weeks - before you leave the store.
  • Ongoing In-store Support: Come back and ask us anything, any time. We're a pet store, not a one-and-done transaction.

Need a Starter Kit?

Everything your new piggy needs is available in-store - food, bedding, housing, hay and accessories. Our team will help you put together a starter kit before you leave, so you're set up and ready from day one.

Frequently asked questions about our Guinea Pigs

How old are the Guinea Pigs when they're ready to go home?

Our Guinea Pigs are typically ready from around 4-5 weeks of age, once they're fully weaned, confidently eating solid food, and health-checked. We won't rush it - a well-started baby is worth the wait.

Can I buy a single Guinea Pig, or do they need to come in pairs? 

Guinea Pigs are social animals and genuinely thrive with a companion. We always recommend keeping at least two together. If you already have a Guinea Pig at home looking for a friend, we're happy to chat through the bonding process. We'll never pressure you - but we will be honest about what's best for the animal. 

Do you have a waiting list if the ones I want are already reserved?

Yes. Either pop into the store or give us a call to let us know which one you're after. We'll add you to the list and reach out as soon as new babies are available. We breed regularly, so the wait is usually short.

What do I need to set up before bringing my Guinea Pig home? 

The basics: a spacious enclosure, quality grass hay (the most important part of their diet), fresh leafy vegetables daily, Guinea pig pellets, a water bottle and a hide or shelter. Pop in-store before you pick up your piggy and we'll help you get set up - we carry everything you need.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

All our Guinea Pigs are health checked before sale. If you have any concerns in the first few days after bringing your new piggy home, please contact us straight away. We'll always do the right thing and help you work through it.

Can I come in and meet them before committing?

Absolutely - we encourage it. Come in during business hours, and our team will introduce you. Bring the kids, take your time. We'd rather you find the right match than rush the decision.
