This scorpion lives in gullies and hillsides within the Flinders Ranges of South Australia. This is one of the largest scorpions in Australia with males growing in excess of 100mm from mouth to tip of sting. The females are generally a bit shorter although more robust.
Flinders Ranges Scorpions scorpions are best housed by themselves in a small terrarium.
Their diet consists of crickets, mealworms & insects.
Large adult males can be up to 15cm in length from head to tail, females about 7-9cm.
When buying a scorpion make sure you have done your research as scorpions require specific living conditions which include correct housing, heating and diet to ensure the health and well being of your scorpion.
